Manfrotto Unveils All-in-One Stability System Designed for Hybrid Photo and Video Creators

In a move that reinforces its reputation for innovation among imaging professionals, Manfrotto has introduced a brand-new stability system engineered specifically for “hybrid creators”—those who demand efficiency and adaptability when transitioning between photography and videography. This integrated suite comprises three new products: the ONE Tripod, the 500X Fluid Head, and the XCHANGE Quick Release base and plate. Together, they address the real-world needs of today’s mirrorless camera users, offering a combination of speed, versatility, and portability previously unavailable in a single, unified system.

The ONE Tripod: Core Versatility in a Single Support

At the core of this system is the ONE Tripod, a true game-changer for creators who have long been burdened with multiple tripods for different shooting scenarios. With a design philosophy centered on dual-purpose functionality, the ONE Tripod features a modular central column that caters to both photographic and video needs. Noteworthy innovations include precise leveling and flat-lay shooting capabilities, a remarkably smooth sliding mechanism for easy adjustment, and the ability to detach the center column—enabling low-angle or ground-level shots with minimal fuss.

A standout technical feature is Manfrotto’s proprietary XTEND technology, which allows all three tripod legs to deploy at once. This small but significant detail can save creators valuable setup time, especially when moving quickly between shot locations is essential. Available in both lightweight carbon fiber and durable aluminum, the tripod reaches up to 67.1 inches in height, and incorporates preset leg angles, a practical carry handle, and options for interchangeable feet through separately available accessories.

The 500X Fluid Head: Tailored for Precision and Hybrid Workflows

Complementing the tripod is the 500X Fluid Head, engineered specifically for mirrorless cameras—a segment exploding in popularity among hybrid creators. The 500X supports up to 11 lbs of gear, accommodating a wide range of camera and lens combinations. It ensures fluid, controlled movement with an integrated panning handle and a robust drag system for both pan and tilt operations, each with its own lock. The 500X’s 5.3 lb counterbalance further guarantees smooth operation, even with heavier equipment.

A feature that stands out for today’s content creators is the inclusion of the Manfrotto 501PL quick release plate, which allows rapid 90-degree rotation for seamless movement between landscape and portrait orientations. The 60mm flat base directly interfaces with the XCHANGE quick release system or any support possessing a standard 3/8″-16 mount.

The XCHANGE Quick Release: Bridging Gear Effortlessly

The system’s flexibility is brought together by the XCHANGE Quick Release base and plate. This intuitive device facilitates fast switching between different cameras, tripod heads, and accessories equipped with the XCHANGE mount—streamlining the process of adapting to evolving shooting needs. Its robust 60mm plate uses a standard 3/8″-16 screw and locks securely into the slim two-part base, supporting payloads up to 44 lbs. Both components can be purchased as a set or separately, allowing for personalized setup and future-proofing.

Pro-Light Bags: Smart Protection On the Move

Rounding out this release, Manfrotto introduces three new Pro-Light tripod bags (with internal lengths of 69, 80, and 88 inches) tailored for both in-studio and on-location use. Designed for comfortable shoulder carrying, each bag features a base that keeps dirt out when resting on the ground. On set, these bags convert into convenient work baskets, thanks to their wide opening and easy access, providing practical support for busy shooting days.
